Is there a way to find out if someone has taken out a life insurance policy on you, without your knowledge, much less permission? And if they have, is there a way to have that policy cancelled or any other legal reprocussions?Ronni

ie. if all a person's other assets have been dissolved in long (or short)-term nursing home/medical care, can they take away even the life insurance policys for one's children, or will they still get at least those acumulated proceeds upon the insured's death?Rose

If there is a court order that a person pay for a life insurance policy with the ex-spouse as beneficiary, do the payments for the life insurance count as alimony for deduction purposes?
Yep, apparently this judge did order it, no clue why. May have to do with college-age kids ...
